Faith on the Journey provides virtual Christian counseling services, making faith-based, trauma-informed support accessible to individuals nationwide. Our Christian counselors integrate scripture, prayer, and proven mental health practices to help clients process grief, trauma, and life transitions in a safe and supportive space. In partnership with churches, we also serve as an extension of pastoral care, connecting members with trusted professionals to support them through difficult seasons of life.

Dr. Naomi MitchellCounselorI come to Faith on the Journey with my Doctorate of Ministry, Homiletics, and 13 years of Pastoral, Family, and Marriage counseling. I have experience in individual, group, couples, and family therapy for all ages and cultural demographics. I've walked alongside individuals dealing with various disorders and issues including anger, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, behavioral issues, and personality disorders. Passionate and determined to serve the community by bringing social justice and helping others.


Dr. Jennifer Davis

Counselor

I come to Faith on the Journey with 20 years of experience as a Christian Counselor, holding a Doctorate in Christian Counseling. I specialize in birth-to-five attachment, human sexuality, and trauma-informed care. I am passionate about helping individuals who feel stuck or disregarded find healing and resilience. Whether you're facing grief, trauma, or a major life transition, I’m here to support you on your path to wholeness and growth.


Kellie Gage

Kellie GageCounselorI come to Faith on the Journey with over 30 years’ experience working with individuals and families dealing with substance use and co-occurring disorders, including mental health, gambling, and chronic homelessness, as well as grief and trauma histories. My background also includes working with youth, teenagers, and young adults who are confronted with issues like bullying, thoughts of self-harm, and self-esteem concerns. As a Christian Counselor, my prayer is that each person experiences the comforting presence and love of Christ as we navigate their healing journey.

What is your company’s approach for counseling?

Our counselors specialize in utilizing the Word of God as our anchor and guide for the support that we provide to our counselors. Our THGs are committed to supporting you on your healing journey. Through practices such as the engagement of scripture, intimate conversations, personal study, and various faith-based healing exercises, our THG’s will accompany you through the process of growing in your faith, healing your heart, and discovering a sense of community.

Are sessions conducted virtually or in person?

Our counseling sessions are conducted virtually, which allow us to serve individuals across the United States. If you reside outside of the U.S., please contact our office to see if we can provide services to you.

Do we take insurance?

Faith on the Journey is currently not in network with any insurance providers and will not file a claim for you. Some insurance companies will reimburse for a form of Christian or biblical counseling. We will provide you with a receipt of our services to submit to your insurance or employer upon request.

What is the cost per counseling session?

Our fee is $125 for your initial session (90 minutes). Following the initial session, you can schedule a:
· 90-minute session for $125.
· 50-minute session for $80.
· 30-minute check-in for $45.00.

What are the qualifications of the counselors?

Our counselors have a breadth and depth of experience in matters such as pastoral counseling, trauma informed care, grief counseling, and other relevant skills to help you on your path ahead. All of our counselors have completed formal seminary education, and have degrees in Christian Counseling and/or are Chaplains that have completed several units of Clinical Pastoral Education.

Our counseling services should not be a substitute for psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, or substance abuse treatment, and neither FOTJ nor our THGs present ourselves as a licensed provider of mental health services.
